Default FPS Problems at Vista

While Running the Game normal, i have no Problems, FPS somewhere at 40-60. After minimizing(and maximizing again), switch to fullscreen or changing the window size, FPS fall down to 5-15.

System:
Windows Vista Home Premium
7650 GS
2Gb Ram

Do you know the problem, what can I do?

Ty for help,
Max Maulwurf.

does the FPS stay at 5-15 or does it go back up again? If it's just half a minute or something it's probably your system catching up with the server.
Try using Alt + Tab - it seems to work well with GW.

There have been documented problems when running GW in Vista and minimizing GW. Basically, don't do it if you can help it, is the easier solution.

I'll see if I can scrounge up some threads.

I have a similar problem too. When I put GW in windowed mode, it slows the FPS down. It doesn't do that when minimizing and restoring though.

Solution: I just don't run it in windowed or do anything with it while playing.

I'm running Vista on my Dell XPS M1730 laptop w/ 8800M-GTX SLI... it used to have framerate problems, but these went away once I updated the video drivers to the 175.16 drivers.
